クライアントからは、「料理教室」と「新しい中国のライフスタイル」を組み合わせた新しい提案を求められました。 私たちは「老房子」というテーマを採用しました。「老房子」というのは中国の昔の家という意味で、複数の家族が共同生活する伝統的な中国の住居形態です。「老房子」では連なった住居の庭などで年長者から、話を聞いたり料理を教わったりといったことが日常的に行われています。 
中国では急速な都市化と共に新しい文化やスタイルが生まれていますが、一方で貴重な古い文化が失われつつある現状もあります。私たちは、これら古い文化と新しい文化が共存することを願い、その思いをデザインに反映させました。このデザインの特徴は、古い中国の家の外観を現代的にアレンジした点にあります。使用される素材は、伝統的な木材や漆喰といった古い素材と、ステンレスやモルタルといった現代的な素材のミックスです。このように、古と新の融合により、新しい文化の創造と文化遺産の継承を目指しています。 ABC COOKING STUDIOのコンセプトは、まさに新旧の文化が交わる場として、新たな文化の提案を意味しています。
Demand of two keywords from client. Fusion of ”cooking studio” and “New Chinese Lifestyle”. We announced of concept, “China old house Style” ‘China old house Style’ is Many Households will be living shared. Style is similar also “cooking studio”. China is rapidly changing city. And new ones are born many. But culture of the old style also is also being lost. We wish.,Coexistence of old style and new style. So we put the thought in Design. Feature Detail is Modernize of China Old House’s appearance. Material is Mix of Old material wood, old plaster & Modern material stainless, mortar. It is a fusion of old and new. The concept of ABC COOKING STUDIO is a suggestion of the new culture and  cultural inheritance.
